Sophia Henry Brown

Sophia Henry Brown is a multidisciplinary artist who grew up moving between Utah, Naples, Belgrade, and Rome. During her bachelor's studies at Massachusetts College of Art, she developed her own approach to perceptual painting, coming to view her artistic process as a way of seeing with echoes of existentialist and phenomenological ideas—an interest deeply nurtured by her professor, Christopher Chippendale. In the class of Wilhelm Klotzek, she has expanded her practice, adopting an absurdist posture and continuing to pose the question: what can art teach us about reality?
