"A key aspect of my work is the spatial positioning of figures perceived as female. I am less interested in a clearly defined architectural space than in a psychological or conceptual positioning. These spaces can appear stable, but they can also be fragile; they can condense or collapse-depending on how much space a figure occupies or is allowed to occupy within them. The works are deliberately reduced in their color palette, creating a concentrated, almost contemplative visual atmosphere."
